Berthoud BRUIN Self-Propelled Sprayer
Why choose a Berthoud BRUIN self-propelled sprayer?
The Berthoud BRUIN self-propelled sprayer is designed to meet the demands of high-intensity agriculture for American farmers, ensuring exceptional field stability during operation and spraying efficiency.
The self-propelled sprayer is available with a tank capacity of 4200 liters and several boom models with lengths of 28m, 30m, and 36m.
With Bruin, you can easily combine tank volume and boom length to achieve maximum productivity for the size of your fields and farm!
Berthoud BRUIN Booms
The booms you can equip your self-propelled sprayer with have proven their durability in over 60 self-propelled sprayers in Bulgaria over the last 5 years.

The Berthoud BRUIN self-propelled model features:
- Independent pneumatic suspension for each of the four wheels
- Drive with Bosch Rexroth hydrostatic transmission
- Cummins engine with 300 hp
- Spray control with EC Tronic
- ISO compatibility as an option
- Spray Tronic - nozzle-by-nozzle control and pulse width modulation spraying*
- Biturbine, Omega centrifugal pump with two working circuits and a capacity of 550 l/min at an operating pressure of 3 bar.
- DUALMATIC a system that reduces residual solution in the system
Among the innovations in self-propelled sprayers is the Spraytronic system. It solves one of the biggest problems for modern farmers: the narrow range of operating speeds at which a sprayer can ensure quality application. It achieves this by providing a consistent droplet size for the chemical, meaning the droplets are neither too large nor too small.
This problem is solved by Spraytronic and the pulse modulation characteristic of the system's operation. It allows for rate control while maintaining constant pressure, ensuring the droplet size is always consistent.
Spraytronic Features:
- Nozzle-by-nozzle spray control;
- Pulse modulation - operation with a selected nozzle at various speeds and rates;
- Option to operate with a pre-set system pressure;
- Constant solution circulation in the boom;
- Instant spray start upon activation.

Innovations in self-propelled sprayers

Technical data

With over 120 years in the market, French manufacturer Berthoud is among the leaders in producing high-tech sprayers. Founded in 1895, the company's portfolio includes a wide selection of self-propelled, trailed, and mounted sprayers with broad application in agriculture.
Recognizing the need for continuous development and improvement, Berthoud annually invests in its research and development team to create and patent innovative technologies, which are subsequently integrated into new machines. This ensures the French manufacturer continuously enhances its product range by implementing the latest industry innovations.
All Berthoud sprayers comply with established international standards for integrated agricultural methods, while also being designed to minimize impact on nature and cultivated crops.
“Our primary goal is to help farmers cultivate high-quality crops. The growing population and simultaneously limited agricultural land necessitate working with higher efficiency for better results,” explains the Berthoud team.
