Casella Hose Reel Irrigation Systems with diesel engine retraction are a productive solution for fast and optimal irrigation. Such an irrigation solution is necessary for PE pipes larger than Ø140, as the diesel engine ensures reliable hose retraction under all conditions.
The diesel engine-driven reels feature a hydraulic system for high efficiency in hose retraction, facilitating operation and quick machine relocation. The good stability of the hose reel irrigation system is also ensured by a rotating platform fixed to the ground (with the exception of model EXP.M), and the reel's trolley can have 2, 3, or 4 wheels. Casella Reels are seasonally movable and can be directly supplied with water from an existing water source. The manufacturer Casella, in cooperation with NIK, can provide the necessary equipment with a short lead time for production and delivery, allowing
farmers to react quickly when an irrigation facility is needed for the current irrigation season.

Ideal System for Efficient Energy Saving
This type of machine uses a small diesel engine for both hose retraction and hydraulic control. This innovation allows the pressure generated by the pump to be used solely for irrigation, with a minimum average diesel fuel consumption of 300 g/hour. This is the only system that allows for the application of manure or the use of wastewater at high retraction speeds.
Hose Diameter and Length
Various configurations of Casella hose reel irrigation systems are available, with hose diameters from 82 to 180 mm and hose lengths from 270 to 780 m.
PLS Reel
The Casella PLS model with diesel engine retraction includes a platform, and the maximum length of the PE hose is according to the respective diameter: 125/800 – 140/780 – 150/650 – 160/520 – 180/430. Thanks to the single-cylinder engine for PE hose retraction, which is standard on all reel models with diesel engine retraction, you save a huge amount of energy.

The Casella HY-TURB L reel has a maximum PE hose length according to the respective diameter 110/620 – 120/500 – 125/480. HY-TURB L has a second additional bypass for high water flows (1800 liters/min – 108 m³/h), as well as a dual water outlet.

Hydraulic System
The hydraulic system with a distributor up to 7 levers ensures maximum reliability, efficiency, and practicality during operation.The hydraulic system of Casella hose reels with diesel engine retraction consists of:
- power-assisted front stabilizing support;
- ability to lower the wheels for transport position or raise them for working position, allowing the reel to rotate 360° (except for model EXP.M);
- rear supports that stabilize the machine to the ground, providing stability in the working position.
