Kverneland u-drill plus Drill
Kverneland u-drill plus
Depending on the working width, the hopper capacity is 3000 litres (3m and 4m) or 4350 litres (6m). The u-drill's rigid frame hopper is divided longitudinally and both
metering devices are located on both sides. The ratio is 40:60.
The u-drill plus can operate with fertilizer application rates up to 400kg/ha and speeds of 15km/h. The hopper with a pressure system on the 6-meter version allows these rates to be
maintained even under the most difficult conditions.

The u-drill plus is specifically designed for precise fertilizer placement with the seeds. The yield of these crops can be significantly increased if fertilizer with a relatively high phosphate content is applied together with the seeds. In Scandinavian and Eastern European countries, fertilizer is typically placed between the rows, next to or below the seeds, while in other countries, e.g., Scotland, the preferred method is simultaneous placement of seeds and fertilizer in the same row.
Trials with spring crops show an increase in yield of up to 25% compared to crops where fertilizer was applied differently.
