Kverneland Optima V SX Planter
High-Speed Planting with Kverneland Optima V SX
The planting unit of the high-speed Optima SX planter ensures maximum productivity and efficiency. With accurate seed singulation, precise seed placement, and an operating speed of up to 18 km/h, the Optima SX planting unit is up to 50% more efficient than the standard HD-II.
The planting unit is combined with the telescopic Optima V, which allows for quick row spacing changes between 45 and 80 cm.

Optima V Telescopic Frame
The Optima V frame is ideal for all farmers who need equipment with various row spacings for the fields on their farm.
The Optima V planter allows you to change the row spacing almost instantly, which enables you to easily switch from planting one crop to planting another crop that requires a different row spacing.
The main benefit for you is high flexibility and less time wasted when changing crops and field sections!
Advantages of the Planting Unit
Optima SX Planting Unit
With a pressurized planting unit, seeds are propelled by air at 70 km/h into the furrow. The intermediate press wheel catches and protects the seeds. Negative influences, such as vibrations between the seed release point and soil contact, are eliminated thanks to the high air speed.
What Kverneland Optima SX Offers You
The seeds reach the perfect position in the soil. Each planting row is electrically driven via an ISOBUS connection. An additional generator or other power source is not required. Full drive and control are achieved via ISOBUS.

Benefits
Optimal seed-depth control thanks to the weight of the metering unit, with the additional option to add downforce (up to 100 kg) on every section using a hydraulic cylinder or a spring.
Effective ground-contour following thanks to the gauge wheels (⌀410 mm, with 120 mm). Precise seed placement from the opening discs, which form a clean seedbed. Good seed placement and coverage are achieved via the intermediate press wheel and the multi-functional V-shaped closing wheel.
e-drive II – full control and monitoring of the machine from the tractor in line with the ISOBUS standard. With e-drive II, each metering unit is driven individually by an electric motor. Planting itself is monitored via an optical sensor.
A low-maintenance electric motor is connected directly to the metering unit via a toothed belt encapsulated in a dust-proof housing. This enables a compact design and smooth operation with low energy consumption.
Row spacing can be changed during planting, and each row can be switched off individually.
Combined with narrow row spacing of 37.5 cm, e-drive/e-drive II offers an additional advantage: individual row switching. Tramlines can be set according to the sprayer's track.
Universal Control with Any Display!
ISOBUS compatible model!
ISOBUS connectivity with any control terminal – Trimble, Muller, Tellus or Tellus Pro from Kverneland! Data from the planter is available via an ISOBUS terminal such as
IsoMatch Tellus PRO, Tellus GO or a Trimble navigation receiver with ISOBUS compatibility.
