Kverneland Cultivstrip
Cultivation of stubble is of great importance in conservation tillage
The new Kultistrip is Kverneland's answer to strip tillage — an innovative tillage procedure for row crops, e.g. maize, sugar beet, sunflower
or rapeseed.
Only the soil where the culture will develop is processed. Depending on the desired row width, it is possible not to process up to 70% of the soil surface. In this way, the soil is protected from erosion and drying while at the same time reducing the cost of tillage.
A special functionality is the separate adjustment of the depth of processing and the level of fertilizer laying. This means that it is possible to change the depth of
processing without changing the depth of application of fertilizers, or vice versa — the level of application of fertilizers can be changed without changing the working depth.

The CTC can be equipped with 3 rows of working bodies positioned at a distance of 270mm, or 4 rows with a distance between working bodies of 200mm.

Advantages
Striped treatments improve the absorption and retention of moisture in the soil.
The soil is better protected against erosion — the processes of soil loss and drying are slowed down.
The area in which it will be sown is free of plant residues, deeply loosened which guarantees fast germination and deep root formation.
In one pass, fertilizers can be applied exactly where it is needed for plants.
The field remains passable even in difficult weather conditions. This means that sowing can be carried out earlier, and in addition, the work on maintaining and harvesting crops is facilitated.
