Stubble cultivation is of great importance in conservation tillage.
The new Kultistrip is Kverneland's answer for strip tillage – an innovative cultivation procedure for row crops, e.g., maize, sugar beet, sunflower, or rapeseed.
Only the soil where the crop will grow is cultivated. Depending on the desired row width, up to 70% of the soil surface may remain uncultivated. This protects the soil from erosion and drying out, while simultaneously reducing tillage costs.
A special feature is the separate adjustment of cultivation depth and fertilizer placement level. This means that the cultivation depth can be changed without altering the fertilizer application depth, or vice versa – the fertilizer application level can be changed without altering the working depth.

Strip tillage improves the absorption and retention of moisture in the soil.
The soil is better protected against erosion – the processes of soil loss and drying are slowed down.
The planting strip is residue-free and deeply loosened, which ensures fast emergence and deep root formation.
In a single pass, fertiliser can be applied exactly where the plants need it.
The field remains trafficable even in tough weather conditions. This means planting can be done earlier, and it also makes crop maintenance and harvesting easier.
