No-till planter Agrisme BOSS
Why choose Berthoud Vantage?
With its extensive experience in the field of conservation agriculture and consultation with farmers practicing minimal and no-till treatments, the French company Agrisem summarizes several common difficulties. Namely: difficulty in penetrating the soil; difficulty in closing the row in wet conditions; presence of plant residues in the row; congestion when working in large plant residues and straw; severe soil disturbance; poor depth control.
In order to offer the best solution to its customers, Agrisem develops the Boss no-till planter. The technology for this planter is borrowed from the pioneer country in no-till processing — Australia, but adapted to European requirements and needs.
In this way Boss, together with its key advantage — the double angle disc, becomes the right solution for perfect no-till sowing.

Disc with double angle of attack
No-till planter Boss features its double angle of attack disc, resulting in:
- Prevention of excess soil compaction to the row
- Better closure of the row, as the raised soil from the discs returns more easily to close the furrow
- No unnecessary compaction of the soil behind the discs, due to the specific shape of the support wheel in the back side of the discs
- Ideal adjustment of the row closure in all conditions, thanks to the possibility of changing the angle of the blunt wheel
Disc + seeding boot - perfect combination for no-till sowing
The seeding boot is disguised in the slit disc and has no contact with the soil, which prevents clogging. This allows for excellent results in wet, even muddy conditions. The boot is positioned so that it never touches the soil and so that the front of the disc is the only point of contact with the soil. It is logical that the fewer parts have contact with the soil/mud, the more the likelihood of traffic jams and delays during operation decreases. The mud is cleaned by an active wiper /the side wheel/. The concept in Boss planters allows sowing in the same direction in the order of the corn predecessor.
The sowing boot is mounted on a parallelogram. The pressure is provided by hydropneumatics. Connected to a sensor on the support wheel, the hydraulic pressure allows maximum pressure and depth control.

Sweeper/Rockcleaner
Scrapers or so-called rockliners help the planter to work significantly better even in the presence of a large amount of plant residue. Sweepers are available as an option to Boss planters.

Choose the most suitable configuration and size of the working width according to the needs of your farm
With BOSS direct planters, the working width starts from 3 meters as a trailer and cantilever version. It is equipped with the same seeding sections as the larger planters of the series and can be equipped with a 50/50 split hopper from 1600 to 3200 liters and a third small hopper as an option.
Attachment versions of the planter continue in working widths of 3 to 8 meters. To complete its BOSS range, BIG BOSS is designed with a width of 8 to 12 m and is suitable for large spaces. With its 4 optional hoppers and two rows of sowing sections, it can be used for direct sowing of wheat without reducing operating speed and efficiency, especially in the presence of large quantities of plant residues with row spacing of 20 or 25 cm.
