Real-time variable water rate watering

Digital farming allows farmers to exercise greater control over farming activities, no matter where they are located. Irrigation precision and a precise amount of water relative to the terrain can quickly lead to an effective increase in yields without flooding the plants, and digital technologies allow this to happen on a predefined map, with precise values of the water required for the crops. One such example is the Valley Water Distribution System (VRI), which has been developed to meet the specific requirements of characteristics and conditions of each field. This allows farmers to apply a different irrigation rate as precisely as possible depending on different characteristic parts of the field — for example due to differences in topography, presence of different soils, obstacles in the field, etc. The implementation of the VRI system leads to a more efficient use of resources. Valley's VRI system configures how much water should be supplied to the individual sectors of the field, according to prescriptions for soil type, variations in terrain unevenness, its slope and soil homogeneity. Each field can be divided into 180 sectors through 2 degrees when implemented in a Valley pivot irrigation system, as well as sector on/off along the length of the pivot system, which total over 5000 separate sectors.Contact us to learn more about Valley irrigation systems and how they can be beneficial to your farm.
