Pivot Irrigation Systems Valley - Part 1

Irrigation frigates and where their story beginsThere is almost no experienced farmer who has not heard or seen the “frigate” in action somewhere in Bulgaria. There are still such circular mechanized watering systems that work in one way or another as inherited from socialism. But long before the Ukrainian company “Frigate” became a nickname for this type of machines in Bulgaria, they were known around the world under the name “pivot”. In fact, fret gats began to be produced using the license of the American company Valmot and their brand for irrigation solutions Valley. The history of the American company began back in 1954, when former war veteran Bob Doherty bought the patent of the first pivot (circular fixed machine) and founded the company. Now - 60 years later, the American company holds the leading position in the production of circular and linear watering machines with a total share of 50% of all irrigation systems and equipment in the world, marking a serious increase in its semi-larity in 2012. Thanks to mechanized irrigation, grain growers from the USA to Russia and Asia, manage to most efficiently and productively water large areas, where the popular method of irrigation using reels is too energy-intensive, and drip irrigation is unprofitable. In recent years, large-scale projects have been implemented in this part of the world with Valley machines in Russia and Romania, and even countries such as Israel and Saudi Arabia, where water is a more valuable resource even than oil.
