The ability to move pivot systems at low speed is attractive on uneven terrain, and the high speed of operation proves to be an ideal solution for crops that need daily chilling or maintaining adequate surface soil moisture during germination. The technology has already proven its usefulness for many potato and carrot growers in the US, as these crops are sensitive to heat and sunshine and require daily adequate cooling to stay healthy. Only with Valley X-Tec™ is it possible in one afternoon one pivot system to pass twiceover the irrigated area at a rapid rate and create the necessary cooling. During sprouting Valley X-Tec allows frequent irrigation with small watering rates, which helps plants sprout easier.The high speed of Valley X-Tec™ is also useful for farmers whose pivots do not make a full circle in irrigation. Having reached the end of the irrigated part, the pivots can very quickly return to the starting point.
