The modern training center NIK Academy opened its doors

On 05.12.2017 took place the official opening of the NIK Academy training center. The event was attended by representatives of various educational and administrative institutions from the country, Bulgarian farmers and foreign guests.

“One of the biggest challenges in agriculture today is Lack of well-trained staffand NIK Academy is our solution.— said the manager of NIK Ivo Kumanov during his welcoming speech to the guests. — This is the next step towards increasing the efficiency of work in the agricultural sector!”

Welcoming words were also offered Deputy Executive Director of the State Fund “Agriculture” — Petya Slavcheva, Deputy Regional Governor of Shumen — Petko Sharenkov and Mayor of Venets Municipality — Nehriban Akhmedova. Raimondo Flacomiotold more about the project and the challenges during its implementation and shared that one of the biggest recognitions for the successful work of the team is NIK Academy building nominationfor “Building of the Year”in the category “Education” in the national competition of the same name.

Among the foreign guests who expressed their congratulations were Balash Pataki — Regional Sales Manager at Berthoudand Petre Chobanu — Valley Sales Manager for Europe and Israel, who spoke about their long-standing collaboration with NIK and the huge potential they see in NIK Academy. Regional Business Development Manager for Agriculture at Trimble — Valdemar Schaffer, also stressed the important role of good preparation and training for the effective use of precision farming technologies. The interest on the part of farmersnot only from Bulgaria,but also from Neighbouring Romania, it was also very big. After the official ribbon cutting and the dedication of the training center, guests had the opportunity to explore each part of the base and see some of the company flagships, including a Valley demonstration pivot, as well as a Trimble navigation and steering tractor, moving without operator intervention. The event continued with fun surprises for guests, among which was the aerial acrobatic program of the Cirque de la Lyulin, and the good mood of all those present was taken care of by the actor Niki Stanoev.

In January, the NIK Academy training center started active work with the following three-day courses: “Good Sowing Practices”, “Good Spraying Practices”, “Good Fertilization Practices”, “Good Watering Practices”, “Operation of Precision Farming Equipment”, as one of the main goals of NIK Academy is to help farmers use 100% of the potential of their equipment and personnel.
