Innovations in precision agriculture at the stand of NIK at AGRA 2018

For all those who are preparing for a successful spring campaign and this year, NIK presented numerous innovations that guarantee more precise sowing, optimal use of materials and efficient farm management during AGRA 2018. Traditionally, the NIK stand was attended by Trimble precision farming solutions, among which is the latest high-tech display Trimble GFX-750. The Android-based navigation display features a compact size, easy installation and portability between machines. The display supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou and is compatible with the Trimble Autopilot automatic control system, thanks to which it allows an even higher level of precision in each processing.
One of the main focuses of the stand was the software solutions developed by the company. Nic told more about innovations in Module “Agrotechnics”on agricultural software TechnoFarm, which facilitates the planning of activities on the farmand cost analysisfor the different fields.
AGRA also presented the latest functionality to the program for monitoring machines and fuel FarmTrack — the possibility of video surveillance of the fleet. The latest news in satellite field scanning program — GeoScanwere also among the highlights of the exhibition. Among them are more frequent satellite images(every 10 days) and integration of meteorological data, thanks to which GeoScan subscribers have weather forecast, recommendations for suitable periods to carry out various treatments and information on the phases of development of each culture. All this makes the program an ideal assistant to any farmer and agronomist— something that visitors to the NIK stand had the opportunity to see for themselves. The farmers also got acquainted with Precision Planting's precision sowing solutionsthat provide more accurate seeding density and pressure, so that it is achieved higher productivity.
Visitors to the stand could ask their questions about soil and plant sampling and AgroBalance service, as well as learn more about the latest product in the company's portfolio — liquid fertilizer systems — Startec. The solutions of the Italian company are suitable for all types of liquid fertilizer and can be installed on planters and trench cultivators, so that they save you time by allowing you to carry out two treatments at a single entry in the field.
During AGRA, NIK also told more about the solutions for irrigated agriculture, among which is quite new irrigation management servicewhich will be presented on the Bulgarian market this year. The service allows determining the exact amount of water needed to irrigate crops, tracking specific soil indicators, soil water balance and irrigation recommendations. For this, integrated data from weather stations Pessl Instruments can be used on measured rainfall, soil moisture and others, as well as information on the irrigation carried out in the field.
