Sustainable practices in strip-till sowing of rapeseed. Demo experience with the strip-till cultivator Strip-Cat

At the beginning of the autumn period, our team met with a farm from Southeast Bulgaria, where we conducted a demo sowing of rapeseed with strip-till cultivator Agrisme Strip-Cat.
For this purpose, a strip-till cultivator Agrisem Strip-Cat was supplied for field preparation and canola sowing. In strip-till-a, it allows processing only the section of soil where the seed will be sown, which significantly reduces the number of treatments required and preserves the structure and moisture of the soil.

After a previous successful demonstration and processing of the field for spring crops with the strip rear cultivator, we also proceeded to the sowing of rapeseed. Despite the slight delay in the schedule, the sowing was carried out with high accuracy thanks to modern Trimble GFX-750 technology and autopilot, providing 2 cm accuracy.

After sowing, the long-awaited rainfall fell in the area, which helped the excellent germination and initial growth of rapeseed. The application of the strip-tail method allowed the farm to optimize the use of resources and reduce the impact on the soil.
And here are the results of the 10th day of sowing:

Modern methods such as strip-till-a offer significant advantages in agriculture, including lower operating costs, less impact on soil, and improved crop growth. The innovative approach in rapeseed sowing with Agrisem Strip-Cat is an example of successful adaptation to sustainable farming practices.
