Seminar in North-West Bulgaria on VRA Fertilization and Cost Optimization!

In the past week, a meeting was held in North-West Bulgaria on the topic: Agronomic services as a way to optimize fertilization costs.
The NIK team presented to a wide range of local farmers both the well-known agronomic service AgroBalance and the new additions to the portfolio for precision agriculture — the soil health service Soil Health, the completely renewed digital platform GeoScanand the precise irrigation regime management service — Valley® Scheduling.
“We are happy to see so many people interested in already proven solutions for optimized fertilization, such as our AgroBalance service, as well as new technological solutions related to data management in a farm” — shared Rosen Krumov, regional representative of NIK

The event starts with useful information about each stage of the AgroBalance service /from automated soil sampling to preparation of fertilization recommendations and VRA cards/. During the meeting, the NIK team again showed some of the main benefits and advantages for farmers of variable rate fertilization.
Expectedly great interest among the audience was aroused by the examples from the practice presented by Poliksena Marinova, agronomist at NIK Agro Service.
Based on their experience and work with clients from different parts of Bulgaria, agronomists from NIK Agro Service shared several examples in which savings of fertilizer product based on variable fertilization are observed.

No less interest was caused by the presentation of the update of the GeoScan digital platform.
“The new functionalities of GeoScan enable farmers to track a wide range of processes taking place on the farm from one digital platform and at a click distance” — Iliana Vassileva, Product Manager Software Solutions
In GeoScan users can see detailed information divided by:
- Plots— soil maps with results of soil analyses already done; monitoring of crop development based on vegetation and water index
- Machines— detailed information about the machines and inventory on the farm and the treatments carried out
- Irrigation— information and control of irrigation systems
- Meteo stations— parameters transmitted by all weather stations on the farm

The end of the meeting was memorable as agronomists from NIK Agro Service presented the latest services in the portfolio of the innovative company — SoilHealth /soil health service/ and Valley Scheduling/precision irrigation service/.
