Selective spraying with Berthoud on the farm of ET Renaissance — Kiril Zhendov with Jantsislav Gospodinov from NIK

How does the selective spraying system integrated in Berthoud sprayers work when treating weeds in sunflower?
We find an answer to this question with our colleague Jancislav Gospodinov, sales representative Machines for the Dobrich region. He leads us to the village of Lozenets, where a demonstration of the Berthoud Vantage attachment sprayer takes place on the farm of ET Renaissance — Kiril Zhendov.

The SNIPER system detects weeds among sunflowers by means of 8 sensors with multispectral cameras that scan in real time the field and, analyzing the shape, color and size of the plant, determine whether it is a crop or a weed, and depending on its size, spray it with a single or double dose of herbicide.
Diyan Mihaylov, Head of Agriculture at ET Renaissance Kiril Zhendov says:
“We chose to buy the sprayer because of the SNIPER selective spraying system.”

“Our expectation is that it will optimize the cost of preparations and the spraying time. Today we have saved 61% of the preparation in the treatment of weeds.
After the controls made, we found that the results were excellent. We expect good yields, as the stress on the plants is also small”
