NIK - a companion of farmers in any tillage!

Crops and fields are the life of a farmer. What is good for them is also good for him!
It is for this reason that every farmer needs a partner who will be his companion, no matter what tillage system he decides to use in the next agricultural year!
One brand is distinguished by a variety of solutions for tillage inventory for various treatments — from plowing to Strip-till. This is Kverneland with its 140 year history and a portfolio of over 180 inventory models covering agricultural operations and practices for a variety of crops, both grain-cereals and vegetables and alfalfa. No matter what technology you decide to use in the current or next agricultural year, you can find the right equipment in the Kverneland portfolio to ensure quality processing.
Classic Tillage Practices
Tillage is an investment in fertile and healthy soil and therefore in sustainable, conventional agriculture. Oranta plays an important role in creating sustainability. It is for this reason that Kverneland introduced the concept of “profitable plowing”. Plowing is the most effective way to reduce the potential for the development of fungal diseases and at the same time has a positive effect on soil and yields. Any farmer using the right technique and applying good farming practices can benefit from plowing.

Kverneland plows are distinguished by exceptional strength and at the same time low operating costs and low fuel consumption, thanks to their lower weight. It is achieved through a special heat treatment of the metal, which guarantees a hard, wear-resistant surface and a flexible core.

Each part of the plow is made of steel that has undergone a special heat treatment, which makes it lighter, and at the same time stronger.

Kverneland are known all over the world for their Auto-Reset protection of working organs, says the importer for Bulgaria — NIK.
Kverneland's unrivaled Auto-Reset protection system is a guarantee of continuous plowing, no matter the soil. The plume bodies are released independently of each other when encountering a stone or other type of obstacle. Without the need for maintenance during operation, this protection system allows the plowing to continue as planned, without interruptions.
In terms of whether everyone can afford a Kverneland plow, the opinion of the farmers who use it is unequivocal — small (with up to 3 bodies), medium or large (with 8 to 12 bodies) — the Kverneland plow is an investment that pays off over time and serves for many years. It's not just the reduced fuel costs that matter — the strength of the scoreboards and the performance of the field are also important.
Kverneland plows keep their price over time. “They have traditionally held high price levels in the second-hand machinery market,” said the farmers who have been using them for many years.
Less processing in the field?
By minimizing tillage, every farmer needs a reliable inventory to perform a good mixing of the surface soil layer after harvest. At the same time, and from inventory with which to carry out pre-sowing preparation... and sometimes both! Why not both in one machine?
Kverneland disc harrows can be used both directly after the harvester and for disking and smooth pre-sowing preparation before autumn crops.

More acres of quality driving with the same maintenance costs — is it possible?
Kverneland disc harrows have a unique conical disc shape and beam alignment adjustment. This combination makes it possible, by adjusting the distance between the discs, to regain their original congruence from beam to beam. Thus, even with 10 mm of disc wear, the same distance and the same angle of attack of the discs to the soil are preserved. Another positive is the easy setup, which saves at least one change of the disks and hundreds of leva in inventory servicing costs without compromising the quality of the processing.
Kverneland Qualidisc disc harrows provide the possibility of intensive mixing of soil and plant residues, which ensures better quality of subsequent field operations. The hardness of the discs, which is one of the highest on the Rockwell scale — from 55 HRC in the inner part to 58 HRC in the outer part for better wear resistance of the disc.
The most popular models in Bulgaria for the last year are the Kverneland Qualidisc Farmer and Kverneland Qualidisc Pro models, according to NIK. For 2020, the company is again betting on the two models, as they have proven themselves to be excellent in disclocking in the past season. Currently available configurations are both trailer and canopy. They are available in working widths of 4, 5, 6 and 7 meters and can be equipped with many models of rollers, but the most preferred is the Actipack weighing 220 kg/m in combination with aligning thumbs — a combination that has proven itself in our conditions.
Striped tillage — just a modern practice or a real way to minimize costs?
Every farmer can achieve the desired harvest result, with less effort and less cultivation costs, through precision in tillage. Precise tillage in precise lines is possible with the Strip-till cultivator Kverneland Kultistrip.
Efficient and innovative processing such as Strip-till requires a reliable and technological inventory that enables settings to be changed in less than 5 minutes when changing field conditions. In practice, this means only 5 minutes of inventory adjustment when changing the unit and the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, even without the intervention of a service technician. The working organs of the cultivator are carbide, this ensures reliable operation in the field.

With the Kverneland solution for Strip-till treatments, a farmer receives not only new and modern inventory, but a means by which:
- Reduce by up to 40% of its fuel costs when growing the crop;
- To reduce the number of tillages;
- To carry out simultaneous tillage and fertilization, with perfect compaction of fertilizer and seeds, without creating the effect of an air pocket;
- It would have an advantage when sowing rapeseed in drier conditions, such as are increasingly common.

Kultistrip — Soil cultivation and fertilization in one pass!
Cultivation of the soil in the strip, in which the sowing will subsequently be carried out and the application of fertilizer near the seed, leads to faster germination and the development of a more healthy root system. This is due to the facilitated access to the necessary fertilizers and starters, which are laid near the seed. All this makes it possible for fertilizers to be absorbed already at the initial stages of development of the root system.
Strip-till technology is new and relatively unknown to some farmers. It was developed in the 1990s by farmers with the support of several leading institutes in the United States. It was created as a consequence of the need for rapid soil warming in Server Dakota. The main goal was the removal of plant residues and stems from the sowing order. In parallel, it is aimed at opening the soil in the row and its faster warming, which was due to the darker color in the stripes, which absorbs more light and heats up more than the untreated part.
The first applications of Strip-till in Bulgaria are more than 10 years ago, and the accumulated practice and its results are undeniable. This type of processing is increasingly entering our country, thanks to the agronomic advantages and the economic results they give.
The main advantages of this type of tillage are the preservation of the soil structure between the rows, better absorption of fertilizers and preservation of soil moisture. It is most commonly applied to row crops such as sunflower and corn. It is also possible to use it in the row sowing of the canola, allowing it to be carried out in drier conditions than in conventional treatments.
The nature of the treatment and the cultivators with which it is carried out allow the fertilizer to be laid at different depths.. Depending on the crop — shallow for canola, deeper for corn so that it is better absorbed by the roots.
Many tillage technologies — one companion for every tillage. Kverneland has a 140-year history in the production of inventory and tools, with which farmers from Norway and subsequently all over Europe make their daily lives easier and increase their productivity in the field.
All tillage inventories are available at the NIK base in the village. Izgrev, and the team of the company as an innovator in every respect and according to the complicated environment and the workload of the field operations, is ready to organize interactive video presentations for any machine.
