Precision fertilization on the farm of Durum Bulgaria 2007 with Kverneland IdC

With the onset of spring and the warming of the weather, the growth of the autumn leaves also resumes. Therefore, spring feeding and precise fertilization with the right amount of fertilizer is key. However, how can we achieve cost-optimized fertilization without affecting the quality?

To follow this process we visited the farm of Durum Bulgaria 2007, where we met with the agronomist — Ivo Iskarov

On the farm we cultivate about 43 thousand acres of land. The main crops are barley, durum and soft wheat, sunflower, corn and spring peas.

As an agronomist, my main goal is proper plant nutrition. Like this should happen at the right time and with the right rate. To do this, we settled on a Kverneland TL GEOSPREAD iDC mower.

The thresher at the Durum farm is equipped with an iDC system. It helps each of the discs of the grinder to move at the correct revolutions. The innovation /iDC/ represents intelligent disk control. That is, the system provides dynamic disk control and faster response when changing the norm.

My first impressions of the mower are the uniform spreading of the fertilizer and the maximum accurate dose that it applies regardless of the slope. The Kverneland TL GEOSPREAD mower will give us this possibility of spreading the fertilizer, also thanks to the CenterFlow system.

The patented CenterFlow system allows to carry out full sectional control by turning off from the inside out, as well as turning off passing the middle of the working width.
