Over BGN 900,000 saved from fuel theft in 2013

At the beginning of each new year comes the time to take stock of the old one and summarize the results on the farm. In the past year, some of the farmers in our country implemented GPS tracking of machines and fuel control from NIK in their farms. As a result, they saved more than 400,000 liters of fuel, amounting to over BGN 900,000, which otherwise would have been misappropriated by their unscrupulous employees. We will tell you the story of a farm in Northeastern Bulgaria, in which a GPS fuel tracking system was implemented at the beginning of 2013, purchased by NIK Electronics. After the installation of the machine monitoring and fuel control system on 14 main machines (tractors and combines), there was a significant decrease in the cost of fuel and other consumables compared to the previous season. At the end of the business year, the result for the farm is an increase in staff productivity, improved accountability of the entire work process and working time. The system of GPS monitoring of machines from NIK offers easy preparation of reports on work performed and determination of the time and fuel spent on processing a given block (or group of blocks). This allows the farm manager at any time to easily track what amount of work has been done and what are the costs for it. The additional data that the system gives are about the operating time, location and exact speed and trajectory along which the machine was moving, with which it is easy to determine the efficiency of the individual machines and the quality of the work done. As a result of the implementation in the farm, 70 tons of fuel were saved for the business year compared to the fuel for the same treatments on the same area in the previous farm YearIn 2013, NIK updated its GPS system for fleet monitoring, which already offers authorization to drivers and enables their performance is determined when checking the work performed. This makes it easy to determine who has worked where - this minimizes abuse at work and the workflow and improves the organization.” Many farmers prefer to monitor the information directly from the on-board computer of the machine. This option was popular in the past year. The data we most often monitor are machine load, mileage and motorcycle hours. It monitors the operation of the machine more accurately, which reduces the chances of failure. Also in the software of the system, a history of repairs and servicing of vehicles and agricultural vehicle fleet can be created, which will remind by e-mail or SMS when the inspection time is approaching and after how many motor hours maintenance should be carried out.” - shared to the magazine.
