Open days with NIK

NIK, the leading company in the field of agriculture and innovation, took an active part in several events in May and June, sharing its expertise and innovative products.

On May 31, at the invitation of the Institute of Field Crops — Chirpan, NIK took part in the Open Day of Cereals. This half-day event gathered about 30 guests and started with interesting presentations, including from the product manager of NIK, Kamen Indzhov. He presented the specifics of XAG agricultural drones, as well as other current products of the company. The fitting end of the event was a demonstration of cotton spraying using the XAG P100 agricultural drone.

On June 1, NIK was again in action, this time at the open days in the village of Radnevo, where they hosted Variety Seeds 2002 — Pleven. About 50 farmers from the region attended the event. NIK presented a demonstration of crop spraying with an XAG P100 agricultural drone and closed the event with a presentation focused on precision agriculture using NIK products. In her presentation, Kamen Indzhov discussed agricultural drones and their undeniable advantages, Milena Vassileva presented the software platform from NIK and the new functionality for calculating the slopes of plots, and Delyan Hristov presented the new Trimble navigation displays and the yield mapping system — Yield Kit.

The series of demonstrations ended on June 12, when the company organized open days in Ravno field, with the kind hosting of the Agroteraterm farm. About 20 farmers from the region gathered to observe the spraying of different crops with two drones. Despite the challenges, crops were successfully sprayed by the XAG P100 and XAG P40 agricultural drones, which continued to demonstrate their outstanding efficiency even when there are large electric poles. The farmers present received information about the advantages and capabilities of drones and how they can optimize basic agricultural processes.
