NIK will cooperate with “Agrarian University — Plovdiv” for the preparation of successful personnel in agriculture

In the autumn of 2017, NIK concluded cooperation agreement with “Agrarian University — Plovdiv”for the exchange of experience and the organisation of joint trainings and projects in the field of agricultural science, education and practice. The purpose of the partnership is to enable preparation of successful personnel in agricultureon base practical trainings, trainings on new trends in the sector and resolution of current cases. Another step in this direction is the Training Center for New Technologies and Practices in Agriculture — Akademiya NIK, whose detectiontook place in early December. “Through NIK Academy, we have achieved a combination of classrooms and rooms where people who actually work in the field will be able to deal with problems that, under our guidance, they can solve on their own. It's very important for them to experience the sweetness of learning.”— said the manager of NIK Ivo Kumanov, during the official opening of the training center. Collaboration between educational institutions and business is one of the factors of paramount importance for the development of any sector. NIK and “Agrarian University — Plovdiv” plan to hold joint conferences, symposia and workshops, as well as collaboration for research, analysis and projects.

Representatives of the company will take part in lectures and presentations to students and teachersabout new achievements and good practices in agriculture. Thus, students will be familiarized with the professional development opportunities provided by the sector in a timely manner and will prepare for solving current problems in agricultural practicethrough real examples and case studies.

For their part, professors from “Agricultural University — Plovdiv” will share their many years of experience in the field of agriculture during the trainings for farmers and partners of the NIKthat will take place in the NIK Academy training center.

The center has modernly equipped rooms for presentations, as well as technics and agricultural plots for practical training. At present, NIK Academy trains not only employees of the company, but also farmers from Bulgaria and neighboring Romania. Already at the beginning of 2018 it is planned that the training center will start active work with trainings on various topics, and later in the year the first trainings will be held with the participation of professors and students from “Agrarian University - Plovdiv”.
