NICK VLOG: What should we review on our plow before plowing? - part 2

In the last episode of NIK vlog, Slavomir Iliev told which areas it is necessary to inspect on the plow before entering the field. Today, Yanko Koev, part of the NIK service team, gives more useful tips on which wear parts of your plow to check to be ready for this year's plowing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSKgUK9p-iUStep 1: Checking the wear partsFirst of all, all wear parts on the working body should be inspected, since for the correct operation of the plow and good results in the field, it is important that the awl is not worn out. In this way, the plow works with optimal force and adjustment is easier. The original Kverneland awl comes complete with two galvanized bolts that fit perfectly into the holes, and the awl itself fits perfectly on the marking board, thus ensuring an extremely smooth surface with low resistance, which is important for both plowing quality and spillage fuel flow. NEW for 2021: New model workbench!“We have equipped the 150B plow with Kverneland's latest body and scoreboard - the N38. It copes well with plowing at 35 cm, and the model is a combination of body N9 and body N28, which are already well known to farmers in our country. The new model can be installed on any Kverneland plow regardless of its model and age. ”

“Original Kverneland parts have a longer life and with them we guarantee better quality work for a longer time.” - shared more by Yanko KoevStep 2: Protection of the working organsWhen you have made the right choice for your farm to protect the working bodies (link to article) We advise you to pay attention to its maintenance as well. For plows with bolt protectionOf great importance is the use of original cut bolts, since only with them we ensure the correct operation of the bolt protection. The original Kverneland cut bolts are designed to break in a specific place (at their cut) under a certain load. They fit tightly into the hole, and after breaking, which prevents more serious damage to the plow, they are removed extremely easily. The use of ordinary fastening bolts carries its risks, and even if they seem cheaper as a solution, in the long run they are not. Over time, the correct shape of the hole can be destroyed, which is due to the fact that the protection at the shear point did not work under overload and as a result of the great force the holes were deformed. The use of non-original spare parts and in particular carries the risk of damage or accidents. Experts advise to always use original bolts regardless of the brand of your plow.

For plows with auto-reset protectionThe last step, but not least in importance, is the correct setting of Auto-Reset protection. To ensure that the protection will work when needed, it must be set to exactly 70cm (see photo). Kverneland Auto-Reset protection has several different levels - Standard, HD, Extra HD and Tandem. The protection chosen for this plow is Extra HD - it works at a resistance of 1100kg by lifting the working body upwards so that it passes through the obstacle smoothly and continues the plow without the need for stops.
