NIK took part in the Career Day at the Agricultural University Plovdiv

On 14.04.2022, Career Day was held at the Agricultural University — Plovdiv. The event fulfilled its main objective — to create a real connection between established companies in the agricultural sector and students.

 The event included a seminar in which companies from the sector, including NIK, presented their missions and development opportunities to the students after graduation.

During an interactive presentation of NIK, the main vision that stands before the group of companies was presented, namely producing more and better quality food with fewer resources.

The NIK group of companies was represented by Albena Mircheva-Jan, Manager at NIK Agro Service Ltd. The company, which is part of the NIK group, is known in Bulgaria for the largest soil laboratory in the Balkans. It is also an interesting fact that many graduates of the Agrarian University find implementation in NIK Agro Service and its more than 10 years of history.

Albena Mircheva presented the development of the company and the team through suitable as well as innovative solutions in agriculture, which the employees of the company can first touch and work with.

In parallel with the history and future projects of the company, the three master programs in which NIK participates were presented, providing lecturers with rich theoretical and practical experience in the field of Precision Agriculture, Digital Technologies in Agriculture and Intelligent Machines.

The Master's programs are:

• Digitalization and management of crop production
• Plant protection
• Artificial intelligence in the integrated production of field crops.

The Career Day at UA Plovdiv also included an exhibition part, where the representatives of the Human Resources department at NIK answered directly the questions of the students about career development and the opportunity to apply for a job.

Especially for the students of the Agricultural University in Plovdiv, three new internship campaigns have been opened in the companies of the NIK group — these are the Internship “Marketing and Communications”, the Internship for Agronomists and the internship for Chemists, and any AU graduate can apply for them by email hr@nik.bg.
