NIK announced its partnership with Kverneland

At a press conference on October 1, 2018, the company for precision farming NIK announced that it is becoming the exclusive representative of the Kverneland product lines of the Norwegian company Kverneland Group. The cooperation not only expands the portfolio of the NICS, but is expected to contribute to the overall development of technologies in agriculture.

Arild Gjerde, Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of Kverneland, as well as Sigmund Olsen, Commercial Director at Kverneland, directly responsible for the region in which Bulgaria belongs, arrived for the partnership announcement event in Bulgaria. The partnership is expected to contribute to the technological development of the sector and the modernization of machines and their raising to the level of their automation. Also to solve some of the current challenges facing our agriculture — the need to produce more and better quality food and with fewer resources, as well as the most common problems faced by farmers related to rising costs and lack of people.

The main mission of the two companies is to jointly contribute to Effectivelyand sustainable agriculture.

“This is a very happy day in the history of Kverneland. It is very important that companies like ours can count on a good partner locally. We are very lucky to have found just such a partner in the person of NIK. Thus, together we will have the opportunity to use our common competence so that we can work together and help farmers in their work”, said for his part Arild Gierde, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Kverneland.

Through the product portfolio of its new partner Kverneland, which is one of the founders of the ISOBUS standard, NIK will help modernize inventories and introduce intelligent solutions and automation of various agricultural processes. Starting with plows that are controlled via the ISOBUS protocol, tillers, sprayers and planters, the two companies will join forces in the ability to control each operation directly from a display in the tractor cabin. In this way, the physical labor that the mechanics put on daily will be minimized and the results of their work increased. The two companies announced that 10 Bulgarian farmers will stand behind their new partnership, who will share their experience with other farmers in a special platform on the NIK website, which will be active from October 4, 2018.
