“Drones are a means of attracting young people to work in the sector,” said Justin Gong, during the discussion. “They are also our key to the future of precision agriculture”

Among the many advantages of drones that have been discussed the greatest contribution to achieving the objectives of FAO have the following:

  1. More efficient use of resources:Drones allow a more precise and economical application of valuable resources such as water and fertilizer, with the reduced total amount of solution through a higher concentration of active substance that are applied helping to drastically reduce the use of
  1. Increased productivity:Technological solutions help to increase yields and reduce losses in regions with a lower level of technological security, as well as in cases where the use of widespread agricultural machinery is impossible.
  1. Sustainability and environmental footprint:The use of drones helps to reduce the impact on the environment through the possibility of targeted spraying — that is, the reduction of spraying in areas that do not need it.
