NIK Academy nominated for “Building of the Year” 2017

The modern building of training center Akademiya NIKwas nominated for Building of the Year in Category “Education”in the eponymous national competition. The prestigious event has been held since 2002 and honors the best new buildings in the country.

“The nomination of the NIK Academy building is a great recognition for the team that worked on its construction.”— said the architect of the building — Dr. Arch. Raimondo Flaccomio.The training center building is a former MTS base, which has been renovated to serve the purposes of Akademiya NIK. The team working on the project has created a functional space withmodern equipped and comfortable rooms for presentations and trainings, spacious officesand special premises with demonstration equipmentfor the conduct of theoretical and practical trainingrelated to agriculture. In addition, the training center has agricultural machinery and test fieldsnecessary for practical training. The official Opening of the training center Akademiya NIKtook place on 05.12.17 and gathered representatives of various educational and administrative institutions from the country, Bulgarian farmers and foreign guests.

Already at the beginning of 2018, the center is expected to start active work with three-day courses on various topics related to agriculture. The main purpose of Akademiya NIKis to offer a solution to one of the main challenges facing farmers today — the shortage of well-trained personnel.
