New Technologies and Sustainability in Agriculture: The Inspiring Innovation Forum from the NIC/USDA

On October 20th, NIK Academy hosted INNOVATION FORUM“The Road to Sustainable Farming — Successful Practices,” organized by the NIC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The event brought together about 80 agricultural producers from all over Bulgaria, who got acquainted with the intriguing topics, and some of them shared their experience with colleagues.

The forum also had two outstanding speakers — Tibor Horvat, a leading U.S. expert on innovation and sustainability in agriculture with over 20 years of experience implementing new technologies for agriculture, and Ivo Kumanov, founder of NIK, a pioneer in offering technologies and machines for precision and sustainable agriculture.

This exclusive event provided guests with the latest information on technological advances and strategies in the field of sustainable agriculture applied in USA and Bulgaria.

Topics covered included methods of crop improvement — conservation agriculture, optimal resource management, effective pesticide management, modern soil care practices, and the use of agricultural drones as a sustainable spraying method.
