New brand in NIK's portfolio

During AGRA 2022, NIK announced a new brand in its portfolio, namely the Italian family company ROC, specialized in the production of haymakers with leading market positions.

ROC in Bulgaria

A few months after joining the Kverneland family, ROC officially makes its premiere on the Bulgarian market at the stand of NIK with one of its most iconic models RT 1000 — a 10 meter hay harvester with a special technology for selecting hay, which ensures greater purity of the production and achieves extremely high productivity.

The brand is known in Bulgaria since before and can be found on the farm of farmers such as Dimitar Machuganov, who chose this model as the most suitable for his production of alfalfa.

The ROC product range ranges from 3 metres in size, from the compact RT 380 to the world's largest haymaker RT 1220 with a working width of 12 metres, to meet the needs of any farm looking to harvest clean hay.

“We liked the ROC solutions because they fit our DNA. They are technological and innovative and at the same time help to produce more food with fewer resources, as practice in Europe shows that with the use of cleaner feed, breeders reduce mortality in cows by 2% to 3%” — shares Ivo Kumanov, manager of NIK.

ROC as part of Kverneland Group

The ROC company became part of the large Kverneland group family in October 2021, when Mr. Shigo Hanada signed an agreement to acquire 80% of the Italian company with brothers Raphaele and Denis Ubaldi. After the acquisition, Rafaele and Denis Ubaldi retain their management positions in the company

The Ubaldi Brothers then shared, “In our partnership with Kverneland, we see many opportunities and synergies. Being part of a group with great global influence will help us improve our operations in many areas such as product development, manufacturing and digitization of our inventories and solutions.”
