Kverneland 6300S — a new generation plow, winner of the 2020 Machine of the Year Award

This is the reason why Kverneland has developed a new generation of semi-hinged reversible plows. They combine all the existing advantages of the brand — reliability, ease of operation and high efficiency. The new generation of Kverneland plows includes innovative developments for the Kverneland 2500 i-Plough®, which was awarded numerous awards throughout Europe in 2017.

The brightest example of innovation in the new generation plowsis the 6300S model that received the Machine of the Year 2020 award at the Agritechnica exhibition held at the end of 2019.

However, what are the reasons for this award and high recognition for the plow?

In order to optimize plowing in all conditions, the aero-profile design of the working organs of the plow, as well as the distance left of 80 cm under the beam, improve the soil flow in the presence of a large amount of plant residues.

Reliable working bodies have a special shape to limit soil compaction, which can “eat” the details of the plow. They have a reduced weight in order to optimize the weight distribution of the plow, pulling effort and as a consequence - minimal fuel consumption.

Smart system for setting auto-reset protection

Elements of auto-reset protection are easy to add or remove so that they adapt to specific operating conditions. This mechanical system for protecting the working organs, already established in the Kverneland 2500 i-Plough® model, is very reliable and requires no maintenance.

The largest support wheel on the market

The Kverneland 6300 S Variomat® is equipped with a rear support wheel. Its layout and large dimensions (440/80×24) ensure maximum stability during operation and a balanced weight distribution from the wheel of the plow to the rear tires of the tractor. Therefore, the quality of plowing increases, fuel consumption and wear of parts are minimized.

From an agronomic point of view, the larger the wheel, the less compaction of the soil, which is better for the soil itself.

Last but not least, the special three-point coupling prevents high pressure on the tractor during plowing and transport, which prolongs the life of the tractor.

This model is available with 6 to 8 plow bodies, 100 cm and 115 cm spacing between the bodies. Choice between category III and IV attachment, stable headstock and sturdy towing frame. All this allows the powerful tractor to perform field operations smoothly. The results of a more robust plow are fewer workflow interruptions and greater reliability.

Maximum maneuverability

Maneuverability is important and sometimes plays a key role in plowing quality and minimizing triangles at the end of the field. The reversing mechanism at the end of the row is located immediately behind the headstock. At the end of the field, an optimal angle is achieved between the tractor and the plow. The patented system of Kvernelandprovides a small turning radius of the machine. The rear wheel is hydraulically connected to the reversing mechanism, and the plow is always in the correct position to start work.

Variomat — what are the benefits of the field?

The Kverneland 6300 S benefits from Variomat® to easily change the working width during operation directly from the tractor cab in seconds. In the semi-inverted position, the plow is transported safely, thanks to its low center of gravity. Even where space is limited, the plowcan be driven with ease around obstacles.

Transportation is in the “butterfly” position, smooth and easy and at the same time safe for others.

KvernelandThe 6300 S benefits from the advantages of Variomat® and for easy plowing and changing the working width “on the go” from the tractor cab. All working widths of the bodies are adjustable at once; from 35 to 55 cm (14” to 22”).
