iXFlow-Pulse — Pulse Modulation

Kverneland introduced the iXflow-Pulse system — pulse width modulation for the ixTrack T4, T6 and ixDrive S6 range of sprayers in combination with high-performance HSS rods with a length of 30-40 meters. iXflow-Pulse creates the most efficient agronomic spraying thanks to the optimal balance between droplet size, crop coverage and application of detergent, regardless of changing conditions of operating speed or application speed. iXflow-Pulse is the perfect solution for increasing spraying precision.

This results in an optimal droplet size spectrum to achieve the desired crop coverage, regardless of changing the speed of operation or the rate of application.

In the development of the system, the best components available on the market in terms of durability, performance and experience were used. Operation is easy thanks to the integration of the Kverneland IxSpray software, and all the advantages of the iXFOW-E circulation and individual nozzle control are included in the iXflow-Pulse.

Stable pressure

iXflow-Pulse takes care of stable spray pressure over a wide range or when changing speed. During spraying in turns, an overdose or insufficient introduction of an amount of preparation is often observed.

With iXflow-Pulse, there is a different rate-dependent distribution from the inside to the outside of the bar, resulting in a uniform application rate.

Another advantage is that the pressure and flow rate can be adjusted individually and during operation. A single nozzle can be used for a wider range of applications, which means fewer nozzle changes are required, which saves time and increases efficiency. There is also the possibility of using a lower pressure with the same nozzle in difficult or windy conditions.

Closed preparation transfer system /CTS/

Kverneland has introduced the all-new and integrated closed transfer system for self-propelled and attached sprayers.

The closed transfer system gives a safe, precise and environmentally friendly solution for transferring plant protection products to the sprayer. The goal is spill-free filling with minimal risk to both the operator and the environment by reducing pollution. Through this system, the entire product is used, and the tubes are emptied and cleaned completely so that they are ready for recycling.

The chemical inductors are equipped with a suction connection to transfer the liquid to the main tank and with a pressure connection for clean water to rinse and clean the containers, interface and equipment of the CTS after use.

The Kverneland iXDrive S6 self-propelled sprayer is now available with the iXflex hydraulic clearance adjustment function. iXflex guarantees a low center of gravity and high ground clearance of the chassis, especially when spraying tall crops.

With crop care

iXflex provides maximum flexibility when spraying. It is possible to spray with a clearance of 1.40 m on low crops or change to a clearance of 1.85 m for spraying on tall crops. Each wheel of the ixDrive S6 is individually suspended using an additional hydraulic cylinder within the dimensions of the lifting structure. This is in addition to the well-known standard sprinkler axle suspension.

Safety

Thanks to the lower centre of gravity, the operator can operate safely even in challenging conditions, hilly terrain or at high speed.

The iXflex hydraulic ground clearance is also possible in combination with automatic wheel width adjustment.

Kverneland presented the new model from the iXtrack T4 range of attachment sprayers with a larger tank volume of 5300 liters in combination with a HC bar up to 30 meters.

The ixTrack T4 sprayer now has the option to be with the vertically folding HC spray bar, which has been specially developed for vegetable growers and farmers with high requirements for flexible working width.

 

Spraying efficiency

The HC bar has possibilities of unilateral spreading and asymmetric and symmetrical folding of 3, 4 or 5 segments of the bar, which are suitable for variable field conditions.

The vertically folding steel spray bar HC is available with a working width of 18 to 30 meters. The HC bar is designed for 100% integration of spray lines and nozzles, for low weight and maximum strength. The specially developed locking system keeps the parallelogram suspended during transportation. In combination with the ixTrack T4 sprayer, the HC bar has a very low centre of gravity and compact dimensions, which benefit from easy turning, higher working speeds and safe transport. The transport width is 2.55 m.

Farmers can choose the Kverneland iXflow-e circulation system with individual, electric nozzle control. This feature is the freely programmable nozzle separation, which offers customers to store up to 9 different rod configurations, suitable, for example, for frequently used reduced working widths or always closed nozzles when needed.

The constant circulation of the working fluid when spraying is stopped means that there is no sediment in the spray lines even when the working width is partially used.

During spraying, the spray line is fed from several directions, applying constant pressure to each nozzle, so that the operator can immediately start spraying at the set pressure. This technology is patented by Kverneland.
