Kverneland Qualidisc T — New generation of compact disc harrows, EU certified without brake system

From 1 January 2025 compact disc harrows Kverneland Qualidisc TThey are now available in a variant without brake system, such as are nevertheless fully certified for use in the EU (homologated). This is possible thanks to the new design, which reduces the load on the axle to less than 3.5 tonnes — just as much as European legislation allows for agricultural machinery that can move without brakes.

What does this mean for farmers?

• No need for a brake system➜ fewer complications, lower cost.
• Legal traffic on roadsand transport between fields — in accordance with EU rules.
• No compromise on quality— the machine remains stable, reliable and efficient.

Kverneland engineers have exported some of the weight to the tractor hitch, which relieves the load on the rear axle of the dam. The result: on some models, the total weight on the axle is already below 3.5 tonswhich allows them to be used without the need for a braking system — without violating the law or safety.
