Kverneland introduced a new product group of mechanical weed removal inventory

Germany, August 2023. During the traditional event for agro journalists, Kverneland presented the latest additions to its product portfolio — the Onyx digger cultivator and the Helios rotary hoe.

The event also revealed some of the novelties that will be the highlight of the Kverneland stand during Agritechnics 2023.

The press conference and demonstration of the novelties took place near the city of Zoest, Germany, where one of the Kverneland plants is also located. Some of the journalists and guests had the privilege to see inside the processes in the plant, which specializes in the production of planters and the latest additions to the product range — trench cultivators and rotary hoes.

Highlights from the future development and outlook of the company were also presented during the event. It is undoubtedly oriented towards building and developing sustainable ways of working, preserving soil health and improving farmers' yields. These objectives are linked to the constant improvement of already available technologies and inventories, as well as the creation of new solutions.

Earlier this year, Kverneland acquired the French company BC Technique S.A.S., a leading manufacturer of trench cultivators, rotary hoes, guidance systems and more. Since the beginning of this year, Kverneland has been working hard to fully integrate the new product group into the company's portfolio and present these inventories in their strength, namely as a working tool for more sustainable agriculture and achieving high efficiency in weed control.

Here's a closer look at Kverneland's latest inventory additions

Trench cultivator Kverneland Onyx

Onyx is a trenched cultivator that can be used to get as close to plants as possible without damaging crops. This inventory, combined with the Lynx targeting system, make weed control an efficient process with optimized costs and environmental care.

Onyx is distinguished by its high adaptability to work at different row widths, thanks to the rapid adaptation and infusion of the inventory and its modular concept.

Onyx is applicable in the digging of various crops /row and for fused surface/

Helios rotary hoe

The Helios rotary hoe carries a number of useful treatments in just one pass. Thanks to this inventory, not only is effective weed control carried out in a sustainable way, but additional soil and plant care is taken, such as:

• Loosening the soil crust
• Aeration of the topsoil
• Improve the movement of water in the soil
