However, how does Alexander Dimitrov guarantee precision of sowing? The answer is with Precision Planting,” he shares.

Aleksandar Dimitrov is the organizer of production in the Brashlen Cooperative, located in the Ruse region and it is his merit that the farm works with the latest technologies in the field of sowing and fertilization.“I am proud because this is one of the first, and perhaps the first planter in Bulgaria, equipped with Precision Planting technologies. For the moment, this is the most upgraded planter with all kinds of components that can be added.”

During his last visit to the United States in 2019, Alexander Dimitrov got acquainted with the system Smart Profundidad, which controls the depth of sowing looking for a certain level of moisture or organic matter in the soil. Already after returning to Bulgaria, he ordered the system for his planter and in the spring of 2021 he was the only farmer who chose the sowing depth “wisely”.

Fertilizing at the time of sowing

The technological planter of Alexander Dimitrov is equipped with systems Precision Planting, allowing two types of liquid fertilization - on both sides of the row in which the seed is laid and right in the furrow itself.The norm and type of fertilization is determined by means of the variable fertilization maps m which Alexander received as part of package service Agrobalance.Based on these maps for this agricultural year, they import and stock the block with phosphorus in the fall, and in the spring they carry out nitrogen feeding with Precision Planting's Conceal technology. Thus, everything is really easier, and the quality is incomparable with other types of planters.” - shares Alexander

Monitoring and control

The monitoring of sowing is carried out in real time, as in this case while Alexander's son sows and sees the data ofMonitor 20|20, he monitors the progress of sowing through Climate FieldView, along with basic parameters such as speed, singulation, population, soil moisture, soil temperature, organic matter content and soil compaction in each row individually. Thus, in addition to information about the materials (seeds and fertilizers) applied in sowing, Alexander can also build a good idea of the state of the field during sowing and the quality of the sowing itself.“For us, the most important thing is the observation after sowing. We really get to sowing accuracy and evenly sprouted plants where there is no competition, because the crop emerges in company, which is also the purpose of the planter.”
