First demonstration of the ROC hay harvester in Bulgaria

The first field demonstration of the ROC hay harvesters in Bulgaria took place in the May Day village of Lenovo on the farm of the long-standing client of NIK ET Katrig, who grow senage and alfalfa to feed their animals.

On the occasion of the demonstration of the haymaker in Bulgaria came the CEO of the Italian boutique company ROC — Denis Ubaldi. With its help, farmers were able to get acquainted in detail with the machine and its device.

What were the conditions in which we tested the ROC hay harvester?

The haymaker was tested in two fields, the first with wheat intended for senage, and the second with alfalfa.

The haystack had been mowed the day before, and the wheat was fresh and of great volume, which was not a challenge for the haymaker.

The specially designed construction with three selection strips and thumbsticks whose height can be adjusted make it possible to select both large tables and smaller ones directly from the ground.

What is unique about this construction with a conveyor belt and thumbs is the purity of the harvested crop, since the senage is filtered naturally from the stones and dust with the method of selection.

“What we see in practice here in the field is a bounce of the stones, as they return directly to the field and do not mix with the senage, which is transported to the bed with the scythe,” says Petar Dzhagalov.

At the second field we see how the ROC hay harvester handles an over 7 year old alfalfa crop that was mowed more than a week ago and the cut has almost dried up. These conditions can be defined as unfriendly, and here the goal is to see how a haymaker of this type collects all the stalks from the field.

During the demonstrations, a model of the ROC RT1000 haymaker was used, which is characterized by:

• 10 meters working width;
• 3 selection strips;
• Easy adjustment of the height of the thumbs;
• Control via control panel;
• Air brakes;
