Field experience in IPK Ivy with hybrids from Bayer - part 1

The idea of conducting the field trials in this species is in different hybrids and at different densities is to find out which hybrid will give the best results and would perform best as a mass seed on the farm. The field experiment started with precision spring sowing from 23.04.2021 on a demo field with corn with a technological seeder with Precision Planting Equipmentaccording to a sowing scheme of Bayer Crop Science Bulgaria with several new hybrids in 4 densities, which was applied completely automatically.

Field trials are conducted in a field with strip-till technology. Before sowing, stock fertilization with phosphorus was carried out, based on soil analyzes and recommendations, part of AgroBalance package. In parallel with sowing, liquid nitrogen fertilizer UAN is applied using the Precision Planting equipment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNvkAqE9BBgСеялката is fully equipped with Precision Planting systems, with tank and equipment for applying liquid fertilizer Startecand navigation system with control Trimble. This technological equipment controls in real time over 18 parameters, among which: 🎯 Depth of seed placement 🎯 Population 🎯 Singulation 🎯 Row closure 🎯 Real-time monitoring of humidity, temperature and humus content.

The sowing of the demo field was carried out under 100% singulation and fully automatic application of the variable sowing map with different hybrids and norms.
“All this contributed to achieving homogeneous sowing in the experimental field and providing equal conditions for the development of each seed in order to show its real potential.” - shares the host of the field experiment Alexander Dimitrov from PPK Brashlyan.
