During the 45th EIMA International Agricultural Exhibition, we were introduced to the new Euromacchine solution, which is a collaboration between the American manufacturers of Cornell pumps and of filter drum devices Riverscreen in the form of a floating pumping station mounted on a pontoon.

The name of the revolutionary water pumping product is Caimano, and the main purpose is to facilitate the way farmers supply their irrigation systems with water.

With the help of Caimano farmers who want to draw water from dams and rivers and this solution allows them to do without worrying about pumping stations on the shore and all the complications along them. The device is 'all in one' — pumping station, floating element and cleaning filter.

How does Caimano technology work?

An innovative floating pumping station that combines a self-cleaning Riverscreen filter, a high-performance Cornell pump with a vertical electric motor powered directly from the pumped liquid to ensure an always immediate automatic filling of the irrigation system.

Lightweight thermoformed plastic pontoons ensure buoyancy of the entire device. Caimano is the ideal irrigation solution that can be used in a range of water sources including reservoirs, rivers, dams, canals and be used successfully in water supplying pump systems pivot systems, tubular roller irrigation machine systems, drip irrigation and in all cases where suction height is a major problem to solve.
