Demonstration of innovative solutions for conservation agriculture and selective spraying

At the beginning of October, the team of NIK, together with PPK Brashlyan, obl. Ruse, held a demonstration of Agrisem's conservation agriculture solutions, CarbonBee's SmartStriker selective spraying system and the XAG P100 agricultural drone.

In addition to a live demonstration, visitors had the opportunity to follow an already developed crop as a result of sowing with the StripCat stripper cultivator and the BOSS planter.

The host, Alexander Dimitrov, shared his experience from the long-term application of conservation farming practices, what are the main challenges and how he copes with them.

The demonstration took place in several stages, with the first focus being the conservation agriculture solutions:

• No-till planter Sly Boss — sowing and already developed sowing
• Strip-till cultivator Agrisem StripCat II — processing and tracking

Today we demonstrated sowing on two machines of the Agrisem brand. The first, which was a cultivator for strip processing — StripCat, with which, at the same time as making sowing lines, we subsequently made a line for rapeseed. The interesting thing about him is that along with sowing, we also did fertilization. That is, on this machine with one processing, we made all kinds of events.

After sowing with the BOSS no-till planter, visitors also had the opportunity to see the selective spraying solution and a demonstration of an XAG agricultural drone.

With the SmartStriker system, we sprayed Green on Brown with spot spray, as well as spot spray with modulation.

In Green on Brown mode, the system automatically recognizes green plants and sprays only on them. And thanks to the possibility of pulse modulation, even more precise application of plant protection preparations and control of each nozzle is achieved.

The demonstration of working solutions for conservation and selective spraying on the farm of Alexander Dimitrov aroused great interest among the attendees. The event has become something more, namely a meeting for sharing experience, knowledge and the application of new technologies in a Bulgarian farm.
