Bulgarian farmers visited the largest farm in Europe with NIK and Valley

At the beginning of August and October, the NIK team, together with farmers from Bulgaria, organized two visits to the largest agricultural farm in Europe.

The partnership with Valley gave participants the opportunity to get up close and personal with the most innovative solutions in the field of irrigation and water resources management.

The event included a tour of different areas of the farm, demonstration of irrigation systems and presentation of new technologies. Within the framework of the program, farmers examined the command center, from where all processes are managed and decisions are made based on the data from the field.

Smart Irrigation Solutions

The main focus of the visit was Valley's innovations, which include systems for automation of the irrigation process, remote control and efficient management of water resources. Participants had the opportunity to see the Valley pumping stations and two pivots with angle arm, each of which irrigates over 105 hectares of arable land.

This type of pivot systems allows precise irrigation even in hard-to-reach areas, thanks to the adaptive functions of the corner arms and modern irrigation control technologies.

Valley 365 and AgSense: total irrigation control

During the visit, Valley 365 and AgSense solutions were also presented. Valley 365 is a comprehensive irrigation management platform that combines various Valley technologies, including Valley Scheduling and VRI (Variable Rate Irrigation), allowing precise planning and control of the irrigation process.

On the other hand, AgSense provides remote control of pivot systems, allowing monitoring and management via smartphones, tablets or computers, which greatly facilitates informed decision making.

A look at innovation and the future of agriculture

The visits were an opportunity for Bulgarian farmers to gain experience and exchange ideas for the implementation of modern technologies in their farms. Valley's equipment demonstrations and solutions demonstrated the importance of technology for the sustainable development and efficient use of water resources.

These meetings, organized by NIK and Valley, underline the commitment of both companies to promoting innovations in Bulgarian agriculture and providing solutions that improve the productivity and competitiveness of Bulgarian farms.
