AgXeed sets world record for autonomous sowing

AgXeed AgBotproved that the future of agriculture is autonomous! The autonomous robot placed new world record, as I sowed 304 acres for 24 hours. This impressive achievement was realised at Agden Green Farm in Cambridge on 13 October, despite severe weather conditions.

AgXeed AgBot T2 — the robot that changes farming!

During the record-breaking experience, an AgXeed AgBot 5.115T2 combined with a Kongskilde 6m Vibroseeder and a 1,900-liter front tank was used. The AgBot T2 weighs 10,400 kg, but thanks to the 610 mm wide chains, the pressure on the soil is minimized. The machine moved at an optimal speed of 7 km/h and with a fuel consumption of only 17 liters per hour. Sowing of winter wheat was carried out on four heavy clay fields to a depth of 8—10 cm with a rate of 225 kg/ha.

William Mumford, owner of Agden Green Farm, commented:

“After the heavy rainfall, many of the fields were difficult to access, but the light load on the soil from the AgBot T2 made sowing possible. The machine worked flawlessly. Traditional tractors would simply be bogged down. ”

After sowing was completed, AgBot T2 was used to validate the same fields, proving its flexibility and efficiency in various operations.
