Advantages of the new GPS machine tracking system from NIK

Ivo Sinapov, Product Manager “Software” at NIK ElectronicsWhat does the updated GPS machine monitoring service offer? The updated system offers many new options and functionalities. Customers will have the opportunity to receive SMS notifications about the operation of the machine at idle, speeding, approaching a service interval and other set parameters, upon reaching which the system can send notifications. This can help in monitoring and servicing the machine, as the system will send an SMS, respectively e-mail, according to the desired setting, to remind you of the approaching event - be it oil change, filters based on moto-hours or for the payment of annual tax, vignette, insurance and others. One of the biggest novelties is the ability to monitor the machines via mobile phone or tablet via a specially designed mobile site, where all machines from the account are visualized and reports can be generated again for individual machines; and to track their location on the map. The advantage of this type of access is the optimized content of the site, which draws a moderate amount of mobile Internet traffic when you are on the road you want to check the status and location of the machines. Also new is the facilitated creation and administration of users to each account, which allows to a given accountto be created several access names and passwords - so different users can see only a certain part of the machines or the different types of machines split into different users. Along with the facilitated administration, a CAN connection to the machine's computer has been added, allowing information to be read from it.What is the advantage of the CAN connection and what data can be read from the machine's computer? The CAN connection allows the maximum accurate reading of all the indicators that are monitored by the devices and now they can be read directly from the machine's computer and obtain information about the temperature and engine speed, engine hours, fuel consumption, brake load, etc. This data depends on the model of the machine as some of the new tractor models allow reading data such as the position and the load of the accelerator pedal. So at any time you can know besides where the machine is located and what is the state of the systems in it. What can customers expect from the new system? I would like to add that along with the introduction of the new GPS machine tracking system, its support team has expanded. Now he is joined by Georgi Lazarov, who takes care of the administration of the system and online access to it, as well as our two new service specialists Milen Atanasov and Milan Nedyalkov, whose attention is focused only on GPS trackers and their maintenance and installation.
